New Military Vehicles for Special Operation Forces In support of Special Operation Forces, the US Military has taken delivery of a quantity of Max Six-Wheel Drive amphibious vehicles. "This is a very rare situation in which vehicles manufactured for consumer use are being purchased and used in combat situations by the United States Military," said Bob Cruse, owner of BC WHEELS, a Max dealership in Wyocena, WI. These vehicles have been deployed to the Central Command Area of Operations overseas in support of "Operation Enduring Freedom." Max vehicles have been manufactured in Buffalo, New York by Recreatives Industries Inc. since 1969. "Max Six-Wheel drive amphibious vehicles are used by sportsmen, farmers, and industrial users for a large variety of applications from hunting and fishing to fire fighting. They also provide access to remote areas for specialized employees of government agencies or companies involved in exploration, surveying, mining, and power transmission," said Galen Reich, Marketing Director of Recreatives Industries. Cruse said, "the exceptional record of reliability and durability of the Max vehicle enables it to be used in consumer form as a Military vehicle. It can provide accessibility to remote mountain areas which are unreachable by any other type of vehicle."
